Discussion:
Richard webbed this interesting FAQ but he is wrong that past lives can't be yet absolutely scientific proven. Original SCN was able to do so.

very little that transcends the material construct (atoms, waves and
energy etc), can be proven using material means... its like trying to
prove water is wet from the fish view more or less... thats the
issue. made worse by so many charlitans in the past and a lot of
what
Hubbard presented in the present.

However, the non material range fully exists, and is worked with and
proven daily in our most advanced labs,,, you might appreciate
reading what NASA had done as far back as 1972 'Secret Life of
Plants' by Tomkins... many of those experiments translated to
instruments you can do yourself..and repeat.. much more advance since
then.

re many lives...a search of mainstream books and research by skeptical
shinks and MD's tells that tale. easily found on google.

extrapolating that to some set of firm conclusions as eltubbo id is
extrapolating from a base of incomplete evidence into a hard 'truth'
that is a base from which eltubbo, and no shortage of his followers
went over der ... errr edge.

Be well Barbara, you are sounding better each year now.. and in
limitlessly better shape than many of
your detractors, warts, ancestry, the fake Marty and all... btw. a
book, by Dr M Scott Peck, MD, best selling,
titled 'people of the lie' details with case histories and blood
curdling drama many cases that produce the
dopelganger scene. You will find it very interesting imo..and useful.

You say (in your title) that Hubbard proved the theory of "past
lives"??

When? Where? How?

You can say a lot of things (and you do).......but the bottom line
is: CAN YOU PROVE IT?

ok Tigger... you must see this on the molecular level... Hubbards
ashes were distributed at sea.
the fish and various molusks have eaten many of those, others, say CO2
molecules have made it
to the atmosphere... where YOU ingest approx 7 per day. So Hubbard
lives on in you... be sure you
do the right thing with it... and be VERY careful when yu..are err..
lemme see.. you know, in the
loo etc.

The impostor's ashes were distributed at Sea. The guy who died in San
Obispo County in 1986 was not L. Ron Hubbard, Phil.

Scientology is about spiritual immortality but L. Ron Hubbard
researched also physical immortality,
and there would be a way if people would try some things and not be so
dumb and think that they know already everything and that there is no
way.

well... hubbard was an old fart when he died... however.. in about
1992 i was hanging out on the
front porch of the womens AA dorm in Livingston Tx.. an old 1900's
ranch house, (Im not an AA)
but I had stopped by.... and in walks the dead nuts spitting image of
a 45 year old L Rong Hubbard!

no fat lump on his fore head though

whispy red hair, semi husky, same arms, fairly tall, same grin,, same
voice.. same demeanor,
,,, in yatchmans garb.

we didnt talk... he was there a while then left.

I asked, He was a boat salesmen in Livingston (very small town near
lake livingston tx)

(so why was I at AA I used to hang out with a lady who was, I met
her friends and was
invited to an AA meeting... I was about 500 percent more impressed
with some of those
people than any scn I ever met .. honesty is their gig,, works lke
magic)

Do not talk about my Dad this way, Phil. I don't talk bad about your
Dad.

Anyway, do you believe in past lives? Do you think you lived before,
Phil? Or that you will live again?

Not just Scientologists know that it is true.

Here are various articles of interest on reincarnation from different
sites around the world.

Video and Audio interviews
Interviews from Stephen Sakellar - including Roger Woolger and Capt
Robert Snow. (NEW)
Research into Reincarnation
''The Multi-Dimensional Psyche'' - an interview with Stanislav Grof
M.D.
Professor Ian Stevenson
A Matter of Death & Life: Ian Stevenson's Scientific Search for
Evidence of Reincarnation Based on the book by Tom Shroder, this
appeared as an article in the Washington Post Magazine, 8/99.
Shroder travelled with Stevenson on two of his research trips to
Lebanon and India. He gives a vivid account of how he carries out
his research, but also explores the proof issue.
Interview with Dr. Stevenson where he discusses his own views on the
meaning of his work.
The Omni Magazine Interview. by Meryle Secrest. It shows yet more of
the many fascinating ideas and views that Dr. Ian Stevenson holds, as
he draws from his fifty years of education and research into the
foundations of human personality.
Past Life Therapy
Treating a Past-Life Hangover by Hans ten Dam, a pioneer in regression
therapy and founder of the "Dutch school" of regression therapy.
Published in the Journal of Regression Therapy, Vol.IV, Nr.2, October
1990.

no comment.... i have a rule, I do not form a firm belief based on
subjective data. and I have a lot of subjective data on that
range of issues and there are books about it in others.... still, it
is subjective...and in another realm... to draw conclusions and
act on them with that base, ends badly... better to simply have ones
views but not draw any died in jack daniels whiskey conclusions
on them

To whom it may concern:

Disgruntled Scientology and/or L. Ron Hubbard fans often like to spam
personal attacks at discussion groups like this one against their
perceived enemies.

A frequent spammer that fits this description at Usenet discussion
groups is Barbara Schwarz.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Schwarz

Scientology fans are not happy that the Ross Institute of New Jersey
(RI) remains one of the most visible archives about controversial
groups and movements, some called “cults” accessible through the
Internet.

The RI database includes previously published media reports, court
documents, research and critical comments from past participants
concerning Scientology and its programs.

See http://www.rickross.com/groups/scientology.html

Despite the fact that there are hundreds of group/topic subsections
within the RI database the Scientology subsection remains consistently
one of the most popular and visited within the database.

Apparently in response to this a Scientology-run Web site called
“Religious Freedom Watch” has a 17-page introduction to a 196-page
online document that attacks me.

My published response to this attack has been publicly accessible
through the Internet since 1998 and periodically updated in response
to other claims that have been added.

See http://www.rickross.com/reference/scientology/Scien47.html

If you read through this response with attached supporting documents,
you can see how Scientologists and other groups called “cults,”
frequently and deliberately distort or completely ignore crucial and/
or relevant facts regarding my personal/professional history in an
attempt to mislead the public.

Scientology is a popular subject on the Internet.

Here are some additional sources of information about the
controversial organization Time Magazine dubbed the “Cult of
Greed.” (See http://www.rickross.com/reference/scientology/scien413.html
).

Operation Clambake http://www.xenu.net/

FactNet http://www.factnet.org/Scientology/dianetics.html

Church of Scientology v. Fishman http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Fishman/

Church of Scientology vs. the Net http://www2.thecia.net/users/rnewman/scientology/home.html

Remember Lisa McPherson http://www.lisamcpherson.org/

alt.religion.scientology Week in Review http://www.xenu.net/archive/WIR/

The homepage of Tilman Hausherr http://home.snafu.de/tilman/

Please excuse the possible repetition of this posted response at
various threads within this discussion group, but it is important to
set the record straight when people posting comments here deliberately
attempt to malign me through misinformation in an effort to mislead
the public.
