What did Baha'u'llah mean by "This Nether World"?

The words "nether world" in English, is from the Arabic original al-
Alam al-Zalmeeni which means literally "The World of Wrong-doers" or
"the world of sinners" ; which is one of the names for "Hell" in the
Holy Qur'an. In other words, our "world" or "realm" or "dimension" is
the Material Realm (naw-soot) which is the "World of Wrong-
Doers" (i.e. "Hell") and the "demons" nentioned in the Bible and
Qu'ran (and Buddhist scriptures) are simply the Wicked (evil-natured
men and women otherwise known as "socio-paths") who "torment" us with
crime, violence, oppression, war, and injustice.

Spiritual Realms (The Kingdom of Heaven or "Heaven")
He-hoot (Realm of the Essence) ALLAH
.......impassible barrier...............
Law-hoot (Realm of the Divinities) The Eternal Paradise/Concourse on
High/Court of the Most High
Jaw-baw-root (Realm of the Powers) Paradise/Empyrean Heaven
Maw-law-koot (Realm of the Angels) The Kingdom

Material Realm (The Nether World or "Hell")
Naw-soot (Realm of the Humans) Abode of the Wrong-doers/The Fire/
Gehenna

"Demons"=the wicked, bullies, tyrants, socio-paths.

"This Nether World"=nawsoot, material realm, our "dimension".

Naw-soot is the World of Fire. By "Fire" is meant the Ultraviolent
rays of the Sun which "burn" our skin. It is the Realm of deformity,
disease, violence, war, hunger, famine, separation of loved ones,
ageing, death, and where "demons" (bullies, the wicked, tyrants, socio-
paths) torment us. It is our current dimension. It is the abode of
Wrong-doers.

Please forward this to other Baha'is who may enjoy reading it.

Yes Mirza Husayn Ali Baha' perpetuated the Abrahamic religious
delusion of denigrating this world, our earth. A belief which is
humanities greatest bane IMHO, a belief which makes our natural world,
our earth, expendable in the minds of those who hold this erroneous
belief. This belief will become ashes in the mouths of those who hold
to it. There is no 'other' world which is magically more real than
this world. This world, our earth is humanities only home.

Cheers

You have your terminology completely garbled. The term translated as
"nether world" with the indicative "this" is 'alam-i-sufla, which
literally denotes the world of generation and corruption. The term
Nasut does not mean the world of fire. Nasut derives from the plural
naas (singular 'insaan') which means "humans." As a technical term it
denotes literally the material world, not the realms of hell. That has
its own technical terminology. You are also mis-transliterating.

Hahut (pro. haahoot) = the realm of the unknowable ipseity.
Lahut (pro. laahoot) = the realm of divinity proper
Jabarut (pro. jabaroot) = the realm of the empyreans of power, i.e.
the realm of the pure archangelic-intellects
Malakut (pro. malakoot) = the angelic realm
Nasut (pro. = nasoot) = the material realm

Since hell is technically the inversion of the whole process of
emanation, it stands as a realm separate from the Five Divine
Presences. The nearest of the realms to hell is, of course, nasut. But
nasut is not hell proper.

Baha'u'llah identified "this nether world" (i.e. the material realm)
as the world of demons.
The material realm is the world of demons, the nether world, the abode
of punishment...i.e. "Hell".
